Salary and Benefits
The UPMC Shadyside and UPMC
St. Margaret Primary Care Sports Medicine fellows will receive:
- salary: $53,497.60 (2009/2010)
- two weeks paid vacation
- five personal days and paid holidays
- health insurance
- dental insurance (provided for a monthly contribution)
- malpractice liability for all fellowship activities
- reimbursement of moving expenses up to $2,500
- CME travel and registration costs of $1,500 per year
- coverage for travel expenses for away sports event coverage as determined
by director based on the year's schedule
- reimbursement for one cellular phone for Fellowship activities
- use of University
of Pittsburgh athletic facilities
- free lab coats
- eligible to receive all hospital employee benefits
- term life insurance and accident and disability benefits equal to
the fellow's salary
- office space with desk, phone, computer with T1 Internet connection,
and e-mail
- free parking for one car at the University
of Pittsburgh, and at either UPMC Shadyside or UPMC St. Margaret,
depending upon location of fellowship
- 24-hour access to weight room and lounge in Fellows' office building
