Originally from Coronado, Calif., Dr. Hagen came to UPMC to complete her residency in Internal Medicine after graduating from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She stayed on to become the UPMC Shadyside Primary Care Sports Medicine fellow from 2001 to 2002. Today, Dr. Hagen is a member of the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine faculty and an assistant professor with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedics. She is the head team physician for Robert Morris University and Point Park University athletics. She also serves as head team physician for the Pittsburgh Passion, a women's professional football team, and as assistant physician to the University of Pittsburgh athletics and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
